Lions Medical Research Foundation

The Lions Medical Research Foundation started way back in October 1963 when a number of Lions at the District 201A Convention obtained the delegates approval to support the medical research being carried out at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. In 1973 it was decided to form the Lions Kidney and Medical Research Foundation at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. The Foundation Stone for this facility was laid in 1984, the building was completed in 1984 and has since been the hub of the Foundation support for medical research.
